Spoken word

Through spoken word participants will create new content to be performed and recorded regarding some of the untold history to be exhibited. All participants will learn, improve and demonstrate their Spoken Word and writing skills.The workshops also include sessions on how to use archive material and research history.

 

Dates: 8th April ‘19 - 10th May ‘19 (5 weeks)

Duration: 2x Weekly

Photography

Participants will take part in using photography to demonstrate and highlight the life and impact a significant woman of colour. Participants will learn, improve and demonstrate their photography skills whilst creating new photography to be exhibited. The workshops also include sessions on how to use archive material and research history.

Visual Arts

Through various methods, participants will create visual art that will be included in the exhibition, participants will be able to demonstrate and improve their artistic skills. The workshops also include sessions on how to use archive material and research history.  

Dates: 24  July ‘19 - 22nd August ‘19 (5 weeks)

Duration: 2x Weekly

Set Design

Participants will develop creative concepts, build installations and dynamic props and sets to bring the exhibition alive. The workshops also include sessions on how to use archive material and research history.

 

Dates: 9th September ‘19 - 14th Oct ‘19

Duration: 2x Weekly

Film

Participants will create short films and videos to demonstrate and highlight pieces of untold history, whilst developing their filming, videography and editing skills.The workshops also include sessions on how to use archive material and research history.

 

Dates: 10 June ‘19 - 12th July ‘19 (5 weeks)
